Examining daily sales data from the start of the year, there&#8217;s not much deviation over these past three months. Despite International Women&#8217;s Day on March 8, there hasn&#8217;t been a notable impact on overall platform sales, mirroring our observations from February 14 in <a href=\"https:\/\/koalanda.pro\/blog\/etsy-sales-report-february-2024\">our last report<\/a>. However, March 31 coincided with Easter, the most significant Christian holiday, not a prime time for online shopping. We&#8217;ve noticed a similar pattern around the Christmas season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sales_on_Etsy_by_category_in_March\"><\/span>Sales on Etsy by category in March<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This month, there are notable variations in sales across different categories. Roughly half of them show a decline compared to February, while the other half indicate growth. The steepest drop is seen in the Paper &amp; Party Supplies and Art &amp; Collectibles categories, with decreases of 8% and 6% respectively. This trend is expected to persist in the coming months. Notably, Etsy announced the introduction of a shop set-up fee aimed at bolstering security and verification. Under this initiative, some new shops will pay a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/legal\/fees\/#fee-types\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">one-time set-up fee<\/a> of $15 before commencing business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many sellers view this measure positively. A $15 fee isn&#8217;t a significant barrier for aspiring Etsy entrepreneurs.
