The sales on Etsy keep growing for the third month in a row. Surprisingly, this is a Wednesday (normally, the sales are the highest during the Weekend). As we will see below, this increase is not ubiquitous &#8211; the sales spike is driven by a handful of countries &#8211; the USA, Canada, and Australia. From a category point of view, the spike is visible in most categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The average daily sales increase accelerated in October &#8211; the increase in October compared to September is 4.4%. For comparison, the increase in September compared to August was 4.0%. These are exactly the categories of items that are most suitable for Christmas presents, so we expect that their rapid growth will continue in the next few months as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In contrast, the Clothing and Electronics &amp; Accessories categories have a slight decrease of 1-2%. This decrease is insignificant so we wouldn\u2019t worry too much about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Wedding category has a record drop of 20% on a monthly basis. As we shared in our <a href=\"https:\/\/koalanda.pro\/blog\/etsy-sales-report-september-2022\">September report<\/a> this is expected &#8211; few people are getting married in the winter. Two categories break this rule &#8211; Clothing and Accessories. The average daily sales in both categories have decreased by 12-15% in the last week of October. We will monitor closely whether this trend will continue in November as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t forget that with Koalanda\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OAoFArtQ1Hg\">competitor research tool<\/a> you can monitor the sales of each individual shop daily! You can see the sales for the last 30 days or 12 months. You can also organize your competitors in shop lists and monitor the overall trends in your niche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sales_on_Etsy_by_country_in_October\"><\/span><strong>Sales on Etsy by country in October<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As we already mentioned, there was a significant sales spike in the US on October 19th. You can easily see the same spike in the graphs for Canada and Australia below.
