You can switch between subscription periods at any time. When you switch from one plan to another, the payment you have already made for the current plan will be prorated based on the number of days you have already used it. The remaining amount will be applied towards the price of the new plan, covering either a portion or the full cost.
Example 1: switching from a monthly subscription to an annual one
Imagine the following scenario: On June 1st, 2022, you started using Koalanda’s monthly plan. On June 10th, you decided that you really like Koalanda and want to switch to the annual plan. Assuming the monthly plan costs $12.00 per month, for the first 10 days of June, you have already used 1/3 of your monthly subscription. This means that the cost of Koalanda for these 10 days was $4.00, and you have $8.00 in credit. Assuming the price of the annual plan is $72.00, you will need to pay an additional $64.00 using the $8.00 credit to upgrade to the annual plan. The annual plan will be valid until June 10th, 2023.
Example 2: switching from an annual subscription to a monthly one
Now, imagine the following scenario: On June 1st, 2022, you started using Koalanda’s annual plan. After 6 months, on December 1st, 2022, you decide to switch to the monthly plan. Since you are halfway through your annual subscription, you have already paid $36.00 from its total price. The remaining $36.00 will be transferred to your credit balance in Koalanda, and it will be used for future monthly payments.
